N.W. Forwarders was established in 1977 to provide a highly personalised Freight Forwarding Service, tailored to the individual needs of companies in the North West of England.

The client base has spread across the UK and to a number of overseas countries – often on client recommendation.

The business became a Limited Company on the 1st December 2005, when Colin Walmsley and Liz Wilcock were appointed Directors.

In addition to Freight Forwarding, N.W. Forwarders Ltd provides an extensive Import and Export Consultancy Service to help prospective and current clients to better understand the implications of international trade, together with the costs and documentary requirements (including methods of payment and payment terms), and the logistics involved in shipping goods by Air, Sea or Road.

A specialist service is available to prepare documents for negotiation under Letters of Credit for exports, and to assist in drawing up Letter of Credit Applications for imports.

With over 30 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry we have the knowledge and expertise to offer a worldwide export and import service - we specialise in customer satisfaction!

N.W. Forwarders Ltd is a member of the North and Western Lancashire, and the Lancaster District Chambers of Commerce. Colin Walmsley serves on the Chamber Council and provides professional assistance to both Chambers in times of need.
